Bureau of Labor Statistics Region to Operate
As explained in Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) website (https://www.idfpr.com/profs/adultusecan.asp), IDFPR will award “Conditional Adult Use Dispensing Organization Licenses,” which do not entitle the holder to purchase or sell cannabis.
The license holder has 180 days, after award, to find a location within its assigned Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Region to operate. After the Conditional Adult Use Dispensing Organization License holder has found a suitable location, passed an inspection by the Department, and paid its registration fee, IDFPR will award the license holder an Adult Use Dispensing Organization License, which authorizes obtain and sell cannabis legally IAW (in abidance with) Illinois Cannabis and Regulation Tax Act.
The competition is very tense as IDFPR is anticipated to only award up to 75 Conditional Adult Use Dispensing Organization Licenses.
